Objectives : Most of the participants in the network have conducted software and platform developments or have successfully deployed platforms. Existing platforms and tools have already been categorized into a repository where for platforms the methods of sharing and interconnection possibilities are given and for software means for usage are given (e.g. linking directly to a download page). The goal of this task is on the one hand to maintain this repository up to date and to encourage the partners to submit additional developments. On the other hand, the objective is to promote and support the shared usage by the partners in joint and cooperative activities to create long term sustainability.

Description of work To maintain the repository, only minor effort is expected. It should consist in checking regularly the topicality of the entries and in asking contributing partners for updates. It is suggested to have at least once a year a snapshot of the available tools and platforms to document the evolution of the repositories. This will be reported in the Periodic Reports. To further promote integration, partners within the network will be encouraged (e.g. by financial incentives) to perform joint experiments and to jointly develop tools. For that purpose, the workpackage will launch a call for proposals for Euro-NF Specific Joint Developments and Experiments (SJDE), aiming at promoting joint developments and joint experiments able to support the research work carried out inside Euro-NF. The proposed developments and experiments will have to be demonstrated by the end of the project and should be made available to the research community at large, under the sole constraints of the Consortium Agreement. Plans are to fund through this scheme a few projects to be run during the last year of Euro-NF. The workpackage has a relation with all the JRAs which are using platforms or tools in their evaluation.
