Objectives

The objective of this WP is to maximize the Euro-NF impact on all standardization bodies that are dealing with the topics covered by the project (IETF, ITU, ETSI, 3GPP, etc.). The workpackage leader is a recognized expert in standardization bodies (mainly IETF and ITU) and has a global view of ongoing standardization activities.

Description of work

·       Analyze major ongoing standardization activities on which Euro-NF outcomes can have an impact.

·       Coordinate the standardization activities being carried out by Euro-NF partners and when possible coordinate the contributions. Analyze the requirements to launch new standardization activities inside the network and/or contributions to research initiatives associated with standardization bodies (as the IRTF).

·       Analyze requirements for proposing new standardization activities in standardization bodies in order to support European innovation.

·       Organize a standardization meeting during main Euro-NF events (such as the yearly plenary meeting) to facilitate the previous cited activities. Moreover, all internal workshops will be invited to organize a session on standardization.
